My wife Maria and I had an awesome trip to Virginia Beach and an even better stay at the Cavalier Hotel. Each room seems to be decorated differently by different influential people. Ours was decorated by a Vietnamese lady that came over here during the Vietnam war. The room that we had was a deluxe King room. It had a living room that had a bar and nice big Television, a large gorgeous bathroom with a claw foot soaking tub, and a beautiful bedroom. This hotel room was the size of a one bedroom apartment minus a kitchen. We stayed on the second floor, and in the hallway they have pictures of celebrities that have stayed at their hotel over the years. Maria and I enjoyed looking at the pictures and reading the captions about who the celebrity was. We ate dinner at Becca that was definitely a high end meal. The meal was expensive, but we definitely got what we paid for. They had a seafood appetizer that was phenomenal. The pool area was Amazing probably the best that I ever seen, and the pool its self was probably the third best that I ever seen. The service was exceptional, the cleanliness was exceptional, the staff was exceptional, and just great. Their Christmas decorations were Amazingly beautiful. The lights were excellent.
If I had to think hard of any flaws the only things that I could think of is that the staff started taking down some decorations too early. The decorations shouldn't be taken down till after New Years day. Maria and I saw them taking down the decorations three days after Christmas. The second thing is that the Cavalier Beach Club needs to remain open during the winter at least the pool and outdoor hot tub should remain open year round. The Beach Club was closed, but you could still see it, and walk up to the outdoor pool. That out door pool was so nicely warm, and the hot tub was hot I wanted to use it so bad.
