We have not stayed in VA Beach for many years, and this was a quick weekend trip. The hotel sits across the street from the ocean, but you can’t see it from the hotel. Too many tall oceanfront hotels in the way. This is an older hotel, and you can see that. The rooms are large, and good for families. Those same rooms are not very clean, or well maintained. We found dirt and papers behind the couch, the back coming off the chair at the desk and the hotel service book written all over in pen with comments. We left the room at 9am and returned at about 9:30pm, and the beds were never made. The only thing done by housekeeping, was they replaced the towels in the bathroom. We were too tied after a full day, so we just stayed the second night. The hot breakfast that they offer is very limited, and sparse. The limited food served was decent, but not much of it. Your choices are very limited. Overall the staff was nice. I would not recommend this place, and will not stay there again.

Overall a good value for the price and location. Free limited parking was a plus. There was a bar onsite, but not open. Several "youthful" establishments within walking distance. A quiet place for mature guests to have a cocktail would have been nice. Otherwise, no significant complaints.

Stay away from this hotel. Price may catch your eye but it smells like urine. They allow pets, supposedly on floor 2 only, well we were on floor 6 and there was a dog walking with their owner out of their room. Room was clean on the inside as far as the naked eye could see, but the overall cleanliness of the hotel was poor. Windows around the establishment were all smudged and dirty and the floors had dirt on them. Upon check in we were never informed of continental breakfast either...which by the cleanliness of the hotel I would have not eaten their food anyway. Parking was full so we had to park off the main parking lot. Once we got home an email of our bill was sent to me and they charged a $5.00 per night hotel fee? So I called and they said it basically covers the parking.....so you have to pay to park there? I was never informed of this verbally and they said well you agreed to it when you signed the papers at check in!! So be very cautious of staying here. Many shady things happen.

Terrible. Our room smelled like urine. The rooms need to be updated. The service sucks. We had to call for maid service. We were out of our room all day only to find the room wasn't cleaned! They said we had our do not disturb sign up and we did...in the morning. We were out of our room at 11a!
We needed towels and we had to go get them at the front desk because the maid didn't clean our room. Don't waste your money. Stay at the better hotels across the street. Part of the vacation experience is the hotel. Well you get what you pay for. If the deal is too good to be true that's because it is. Save up your money and stay at the Sheraton.

Hotel staff was pleasant. Need to hire more people to clean rooms. Freezer did not work properly. Called maintenance but never came. No cups in room asked 2 times never got. Had to ask many times for extra towels and washcloths we had 5 people. Beds were nice. Parking was not enough had to keep circling for one. Breakfast was not all that good to me....needs an upgrade...it was ok
