I didn't accidentally title this three times with "excellent", it really was that great! We wanted a last-minute, quick, two-night getaway and chose here based on reviews, price, and perceived quality from online pictures. I didn't even notice that this hotel wasn't even a year old until after I had already booked it. This was the first time I've stayed in such a new hotel which was neat. Because it's new, everything was still in great condition and looked great. I hope it stays that way over the years. The check-in experience was good. They have valet parking only for $9/night. I have mixed feelings about this. It's nice to just give your car to somebody and they figure out what to do with it but it was annoying in that we would forget things in the car and just be like "oh well, we aren't going to make them get the car just for that". Every experience we did have with the valet was positive though and the car was always ready within 15 minutes of notifying them. We had a higher floor oceanfront room and brought our dog as well (additional fee). Being able to bring her too was actually another reason why we booked here. The room was fairly spacious with two queen beds and a pullout couch area. It was very clean as well. There's a nice balcony with two chairs and a table outside. The beds and pillows were comfortable. The pullout couch was a pullout couch, not great but I'm not going to judge a pullout couch. They did have sheets for it already so that was a positive. They have blackout curtains for the room and they truly are as not a bit of sunlight came into the room when they were closed. The breakfast was wonderful. There weren't a ton of options I don't think, but what was there was really good quality and quite delicious which I would rather have a few quality items (that definitely did fill us all up) than having a bunch of just ok tasting items. I don't know the man's name there but he was very friendly and efficient. We got some food and drink at the Placery in the lobby the second night. The girl working there was great. She was very friendly and efficient and was doing the job of greeter, waitress, bartender, and cook and kept up with everything great. I'll say that the prices were a little high there for how much you got but it was very convenient for us on a night we were very tired and didn't feel like going out anywhere so I was fine with that. The checkout process was very simple. I didn't talk about the view yet which was amazing. And we watched a sunrise from the balcony one morning. And it's very easy to get to the beach, just walk out the back door and you're there. There's a nice looking outdoor pool for those going in the summer. There's an indoor pool and a gym but we didn't go to either this time. The price was very good in the winter. I don't think we could afford what it would cost in the summer but we will definitely be back for another winter weekend getaway in the future!
