The National wildlife reserve is wild and we'll managed. Lots of birds and turtles. There's a primative campground that you can get to with a 5 mile hike. Excellent visitor center and knowledgeable rangers. Love it.

Sandbridge section of Virginia Beach is the absolute best place for beach lovers and family gatherings! It’s quiet and out of the way with spectacular beach houses and condos. Family friendly and private. Come and fall in love with the best sunrises on the east coast!

Sandbridge Beach is a coastal, family, neighborhood. Parks at either end of the 5-mike community offer public beaches with public restrooms and limited parking. At the south end, Little Island Park features a fishing pier, picnic pavilions and a playground. Further south, beyond Little Island, is the Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge. A small entrance fee provides access. South of the BBWR, is the False Cape State Park featuring camping and hiking. It’s accessible by bike, hiking or kayak.

We're locals and we head to Sandbridge Beach regularly for mental breaks. The beach is lovely and the people are friendly. There's a good mix of rental properties available -- everything from small condos to oceanfront mansions. The Sandbridge Market is well stocked with a great wine selection and all the basics as well. There are several great dining options and entertainment venues within minutes. Go. Treat yourself!

Sandbridge Beach is a beautiful place to get away and relax. Not too far from the strip, it seems like another world away.Good restaurants and good views.
