Owner description: Bruton Parish Church is open daily to visitors with or without a Colonial Williamsburg admission ticket. A donation of one dollar per person is gratefully accepted to go toward upkeep of the church and churchyard. This is the third building in the history of Bruton Parish, in continuous use since 1715. All are welcome to attend a brief service of noonday prayer during the week, and Sunday services, held at 7:30, 9:15, and 11:15 am and 5:30 pm. Bruton Parish Church is an active congregation of the Episcopal Church, therefore we close for tours during weddings, funerals or scheduled services.

An active Episcopal church with a beautifully-maintained interior located in the center of Colonial Williamsburg . The parish dates back to 1674, although the present church was built in 1715. You can sit in the high pew boxes where US Presidents Washington, Jefferson and Monroe once worshipped. In the past, we have attended a Sunday service here and attended one of their wonderful evening concerts. Definitely worth a visit!

Beautiful church. Members answer questions about the church and its members. Includes Presidents, Supreme Court justices and many other revolutionary leaders. Beautiful on the inside and outside.

We attended an evening choral program on palm Sunday. The music was beautiful and I enjoyed looking around the building during the service as well.

4 Presidents, 2 Supreme Court justices worshiped at this church on a regular basis. When the floor was replaced, 41 colonial graves were discovered. They identified what they could and just rebutted the ones they couldn’t.

A lovely old church with lots of American historical figures’ nameplates on the pews as well as inscriptions on embellished marble.
