Owner description: Bruton Parish Church is open daily to visitors with or without a Colonial Williamsburg admission ticket. A donation of one dollar per person is gratefully accepted. This is the third building in the history of Bruton Parish, in continuous use since 1715. Bruton Guides are volunteers, on hand to speak with visitors. All are welcome to attend a brief prayer service at 12 noon weekdays, and Sunday services, which are held at 7:30, 9:15 and 11:15 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Bruton Parish Church is an active congregation of The Episcopal Church, therefore we close for tours during weddings, funerals or other scheduled services. Posted at the church is the schedule for this week's Candlelight Concerts-- free to enter, with an offering collected. To complete your visit, be sure to see The Bruton Parish Shop and Heritage Center, a block and a half west of the church, open daily--gifts, books, jewelry, accessories and an exhibit of parish history with the original weather vane and 1907 bible.

Standing in this church that was visited by George Washington and Thomas Jefferson and others was a great experience!

We attended Sunday worship while on vacation in Williamsburg. We are not Episcopalian but I wanted my wife to experience a different type of service from our church. The church is beautiful inside, we enjoyed the service and found the parishioners around us to be very friendly and welcoming.

What a wonderful way to step back in time to see what worship was like in the eighteenth century. This historic church, as well as the adjoining graveyard, is a must see on your visit to Williamsburg. Children will love to sit in the pew stalls of the founding fathers whose names they will readily recognize. The guides are quite nice, informative, and open to questions.

I'm delighted that you and especially the children in your group enjoyed the visit. A great complement is a stop at our brand new Heritage Center up the street at 331 Duke of Gloucester. Also in that building is our Shop with gifts & books. Sales benefit outreach ministries. Thank you!

We started roaming through the cemetery surround the church then went inside. The docents were great and had lots of information to share. It's not always open ... sometimes it's closed because it is an active church. Every night there is a free organ recital.

Be sure and stop in at the Bruton Parish Shop and Heritage Center before or after a visit to the church and churchyard. Lots of fun spring merchandise AND a new display outlining our parish past and present. Free to enter Mon-Sat 10-5 and Sun noon-5:00.
