We have stayed here several times and come to Leavenworth in the summer and in the winter. Remember if other guests are too noisy, call the front desk immediately! Don’t wait. The continental breakfast is great with the waffles which are my teens favorite Especially the toppings. There is some fruit and also hot chocolate to warm up on cold days. It is not far from downtown so you don’t have to fight for parking. There are goats on the Southwest side to feed bread. Make sure you dress warm in the winter when there is snow n rain! as we saw a lot of people with fleece coats and Hoodies. They were soaked! If there’s snow and or rain and you plan to be outside For the parade and for the tree lighting ...you have to gather there for over an hour. It’s definitely worth experiencing! musical and beautiful as they turn the lighs on. and everybody takes pictures. FYI you might want to stand next to that restaurant you want to eat dinner at if you’re spending the night because once it’s over you can be the first one in line. and the traffics bad afterward so you might as well eat. LOL. it’s a good idea to have: snow pants that are waterproof and 2 sets of gloves, hat, scarf, fleece sweater and waterproof coat and polyester liner…Polyester Shirt and pants to go under your clothes...Like the skiers. borrow some items from friends for this trip or u can pick up snow pants at the big sporting good stores in Seattle or Tacoma for about 20 -$30 bucks and If there is snow or rain then Snowboots are always helpful as long as they’re waterproof. FYI you can waterproof your boots with spray or with the Ziploc bags. LOL. It’s not fun to be cold and wet. My children and I layer this way and we stay warm the whole time ...in and out of the buildings. You are outside half the time in Leavenworth going from building to building. My husband he cannot wear the snow pants because he gets too hot but he does wearEverything else and liners under his jeans and he’s fine. you’ll be toasty warm all day long. I didn’t need to even break open my hand-warmers... unless the kids play in the snow and go sledding. Remember to bring your sleds for the little hill right downtown or you can buy one at the pharmacy store pretty reasonably. Which closes at 5 PM ish so get there before the tree lighting. do not forget to go to the pretzel bakery and have some awesome Bavarian desserts. Also we like the German sausages and mustard’s galore at the Leavenworth Ssausage garden and Muchen Haus in downtown. We also Love the Mozart steakhouse restaurant which has the best brawtwurst and pork Schnitzel and spatzle with mushroom yager sause German food & steaks & cheese & burgers & salads. It has food for everybody! even kids. i’ll try the monster cheese shop to as they give free samples and you’ll taste the best she’s ever from all over the world. We love the book store! T-shirt shops & comic book store Krampus Cave & awesome Hat shop & Wood toy stores & Taffy+ more shop by awesome Christmas shop &jewelry shops. oh do not forget chocolate shop for caramel chocolate apples and truffles plus more... items are reasonably priced. You can add a little lemon to your caramel apple and it will last all day. Enjoy!

Room Tip: We choose a room on the backside away from the main street

I spend a lot of time in Leavenworth making my way across the state on business, so I have stayed in just about every single lodging establishment.

Pros: The best part? This is located right across the street from Good Mood Food, which not only serves "real" coffee, but a great breakfast, and walking distance to downtown with an easy stroll.
The room was clean and servicable, and the employees were friendly.
The mattress was OK.

Cons: This place has a WONDERFUL location, but is in serious need of updating. My sense is that everyone is overworked, and the capital is lacking for improvement. My room had a framed print above each bed...the SAME print! I know that does not either contribute or take away from how comfortable the room is, but is points out am out-of-date vibe.(That said, it was inexpensive by local standards).

Breakfast was so-so, with powdered eggs and sausage, and one of those make-it-yourself waffle makers. The Keurig coffeemaker in my room did not work.

I love these places, but the standards have changed over the last ten or so years, so that I am afraid that if they don't revamp, the new Hampton Inn at the other end of the town will drive them under.

Room Tip: Kind of noisy near the highway, so ask for something a little bit farther back from the road.

Older property which was nicely maintained and within walking distance of restaurants and shops. Large rooms and morning breakfast was very good. Parking right next to room door and second entrance which was a sliding door unto small patio. Staff was very helpful as well.

Beautiful and huge room, nice bathroom. Came with mini-fridge as well. There was a nice deck and it’s within walking distance to the downtown area. Book directly with them for the cheapest rate. Would recommend to anyone!

The staff is friendly and it is a great location within walking distance to town. It is an older hotel but well kept and well priced comparatively. They have large parking and can accommodate trucks and campers in the gravel parking lot separate from the paved one
