It took us months to decide where to go on our Honeymoon, and boy did we make the right choice.

due to the snow, we met Brad down at the bottom of the hill, and he picked us up, and took us up to the lodge, when you step our of the vehicle, and you see just how amazing the views and the lodge are, it will take your breath away. Coming from Los Angeles, I was not used to seeing such beauty in the snow. I dont think I have ever in my life seen anything that amazing. As we get into the Lodge Cathy was there to welcome us in, with Hot Cocoa, and Coffee to get us warmed up. We were lucky enough to book the Cascade Suite, it was LARGE, great fire place, great bed, awesome Jacuzzi tub, and the most spectacular views from the room. Robes, books, rocking chairs, every detail thought about to make it as cozy as possible.

The food, OMG, This chef can throw down, Every meal, was amazing. There was not one meal that missed the mark, from fresh breakfasts, to hearty lunches, to exquisite dinners. you thought you were at a 5 star fine dining restaurant, only steps away from your cozy bed. It was AMAZING! The Peanut Butter Ganache was the most decadent thing I think I have ever had in my life.

The Activities, Well it was an all inclusive resort, so games, puzzles, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, and the best part SNOW TUBING! Were all part of the things that were available to you. The entire site is so beautiful , Brad and Cathy show you how to use all of the equipment, which was huge for someone like me, who has never seen snow like that, snow shoes or skiis were not in my wheelhouse.. but everything was so fun. and they have one of the awesomest sledding hills, I have ever seen, Even had their daughter out there with a tow rope on the snow mobile towing you back up to the top!!

We were lucky enough to be there for 4 days, and man, it was the greatest 4 days of any vacation, I have ever been on. Cathy, Brad, have an amazing and special thing up there, you dont feel like a guest, you feel like family. Every person from their staff is top notch. While we were there, there were at least 4 couples who were already booking for next year.. and depending on our family situation next year, we are hoping to be back too! So Bottom line, this place is one of those, once in a lifetime places that you need to go to, just so you can experience the wonder, of what Brad, and Cathy have created there..
with that in Mind, Brad, Cathy you and your whole team, from the bottom of my heart, Thank you so much for making our Honeymoon PERFECT! And we hope to see you guys again soon!

Room Tip: You cant go wrong in any room but I would prefer the lodge to the cabins. so you can stay in your socks for breakfast :)

Thank you Alberto for your glowing review of Mountain Home Lodge. We agree..it is an amazing property! Mother Nature spared no expense when creating this oasis in the Cascades...it is breathtaking with the majestic peaks literally in our front yard! Winter is special with the added benefit of being transported here by snowcat and literally being snowbound up here so you can enjoy fine cuisine, pampering, snow activities out our door and much needed rest and relaxation! We look forward to welcoming you back someday if your travels bring you to the Pacific NW! All the best to you two in the new year! Cheers- Kathy & Brad

This was our second time at the Mountain Home Lodge and it was exquisite. Stay was very comfortable, food was exceptional and very gourmet, and Brad and Kathy are truly the best hosts we've EVER experienced. Snow shoeing, sledding, hiking, games, time by the relaxing stone fire, time in the spa under the stars...were just a few of the memorable moments we shared at this incredible, one of a kind place. Five stars is not even close to sufficient for this slice of heaven!

We just returned from a 3 day getaway to this magical lodge. Believe the hype and reviews! Tremendous hospitality, amazing food, beautiful grounds and trails to hike. We'll remember this trip for a long time.

Tip: we brought our white noise sound machine with us as we read that the walls are a bit thin. It definitely helped. This didn't diminish the overall experience at all, however.

Thanks to the entire MHL crew for an unforgettable experience!

Albert

Thank you for your kind comments which we so appreciate. Fall and Oktoberfest are a pretty time of year as the Aspens in our lower meadow begin to change and snow is now falling in the higher elevations. We hope to welcome you back to Mountain Home Lodge soon, and perhaps early May with all the wildflowers and Maifest in Leavenworth is a season to consider. In the meantime, all the best. Brad

The end of May holiday in the Cascade suite at Mountain Home Lodge was relaxing and beautiful! Kathy and Brad made our stay easy and fun! We looked forward to "happy hour" each evening. So enjoyable! The bear viewing was exciting and amusing.
Trails around the property are an added attraction. This was our second visit to MHL.
If you go in the winter the snow tractor ride up is a thrill! The food is always delicious and the accommodations comfy. Enjoy!

Mountain Home Lodge is gorgeous in the spring with the rolling green meadow filled with wildflowers in bloom against the dramatic backdrop of the snow capped Cascades. So glad you were able to enjoy a holiday with us then! The Cascade Suite is a wonderful room accommodation with the large windows capturing the breathtaking view. Thanks for sharing your experiences with others and we look forward to welcoming you again if your travel plans bring you east to the Leavenworth area. Enjoy autumn... the foliage this year is superb! We had an elk herd here a few nights ago and the bull bugled during our appetizers on the deck! Very exciting for all our guests and us! Cheers- Brad & Kathy
