Late night looking for restaurants open for late dinner----10:30 pm---no one in the restaurant section but the bar area was busy---hasseled the waitress over what this restaurant call a local brew---"Portland"???? "Seattle"???? I have suggested they
put in some local craft brews bu they are not listening----This is my fourth or fifth visit in one and one-half years and nothing seems to change...Menu items are tasty but
same as more than a year ago....
Bostons is a Franchise Sports Bar and Grill. Pizza is their specialty but there are lots of appetizers and small plates to choose from. There is heavy emphasis on drinks
I ordered the single bone in wings (baked Burbon sauced) served with a blue Cheese dip and two celerys and three carrot sticks. These wings were of good size and are very tasty and tender.
Spouse ordered a combo plate of chicken strips with Sweet potato fries and rice pilaff.
The Rice item was tasting strongly of chicken broth. The fries were very nice. However,
the Chicken tenders were dry, coated with a breading that added little to the flavor mix
and after a bite, left an after taste that is off-putting. We did not complain about that
and sought no price or compensation. We just left it on the plate.
My "local brew" was Pyramid Heffewisen...fresh and refreshing went well with the wings. Would have preferred an I.T.S. or a Skookum.
Most of the folks in the bar were enjoying eating their food and talking. However, one couple needed to get a motel. That behavior is why families do not like Bar and Grills.
Sadly---no onion rings here!
Service was very good....be sure here to ask for ice water or it will not magicaly arrive.
