We camped here 8 nights in our small, 17' travel trailer. There are a total of 130 sites, some single ($20/night) and some multi ($38/night). Price is half with Golden Age pass. Early in the week there are many open sites; weekends are packed. About 30 sites are open, or first come. Several of these are along the river. We had A028, which is open and has river access. This was one of the most beautiful sites we've had! I've attached photos of the campground map and a pic of the river view in from our site. Our trailer and TV filled the parking area.
There are no services, pit toilets except for one in A loop; numerous water faucets, but sites are pretty large and most are very private. Large RVs will not fit in many of the sites, other then the multis with a pull thru. A-loop seemed to have the largest sites, and H-loop worked especially well for RVs with large parking areas.
There were a couple short trailers in the park, but you're ~5 miles from the South gate into Rainier.
This is managed by Hoodoo and I have to compliment the hosts, Mark and Joann. They worked very hard keeping trash picked up, restrooms stocked, and reservation info up to date.More
