My wife and I ran away to Spokane for an overnight anniversary getaway. Found the Roberts mansion on Trip Advisor and discovered they had a room for that night. Soooo glad we did. The mansion was in the historic Brown's Addition neighborhood. Nice quiet streets with plenty of eating choices within walking distance. The mansion itself has been beautifully restored to its former opulence using original fixtures wherever possible. There is a billiards room in the basement with a case of original furnishings of the house. There is a wraparound porch with various wicker furniture groupings and a secret garden for exploring. We WILL stay here whenever we need a place to stay again in Spokane.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Mary Tracey suite. It has a sitting room, bedroom with ornate stained glass and a b...

in an interesting very non descript area on edge of town, with a lot of ranch and split level houses and a few scaettered amazing Vicetorian masterpieces of which this is one. Interesting history, beautifully restored; no food facilities; high ceilings, WiFi, our room had a dedicated little balcony with a view of ...the street and the lawn....but very restful; nice people; there was no one there as far as we could tell but us - no desk, not sure where the manager was, but when we pulled up there was a gal who was like a housekeeping worker who told us the caretaker would be right there...which she was. Overall, we enjoyed it; very historical, by no means is this a typical hotel with services and amenities; it is like a super B & B....without the &B.....

What looks a haunted house spews with Victorian charm in well located area. The hostess... Kristee..nut she will answer to any name is very accomadating. Our room was delightful... aircondioning was great... the tub was an old fashion claw tub. The decor was splendid. But the bed was super comfortable and when I hit the bed it was lights out. The grounds are well manicured... very good for weddings. A romantic getaway. The only negative... no breakfast... room rate was excellent so that's the tradeoff. If you want a goid breakfast eat at Franks

We stayed for three nights with a large, multi-generational family, and after having taken vacations like this across the U.S., NOTHING HAS BEEN AS PERFECT. The history and rooms of the mansion are breath-taking, with extraordinary vision and ultimate luxury...the location offers so many options for fun, and we took advantage of all, including the Mansion's own breath-taking backyard with gazebo and Secret Garden. Walked to excellent restaurants/bars, strolled to lovely parks, and drove just minutes to the best fully-indoor shopping and cultural events (also wine tasting rooms!) in the Northwest. Unforgettable and perfect for all generations!

Room Tip: We occupied four rooms, and each one was perfect--they were distinctly beautiful and charming, with...

I've stayed here a few times and each time have been delighted by the property's attention to historic detail. I'm always comfortable and the staff is always helpful. Plus, the price seems like a steal when you realize you're basically staying in a museum. Two mornings I took a run around the neighborhood, and that was a treat in and of itself -- getting to tour all the fun architecture of Brown's Edition. Solid breakfast choices nearby. Great experience!
