The Hunter family has lived here for over a century and their love of the land really shows. The place is still operated by a bunch of the family. We have been coming here since it opened.

Hunter Farms is always ready and willing to help you with all your gardening needs in a timely, friendly manner. Their plants are nearly always quite productive.

We stopped off at Hunter’s Farm for an ice cream cone before driving to Port Orchard by way of the scenic route along Hood Canal. A lot of people may think this farm is just a garden center but they also serve up some great tasting ice cream.

Wow! What an awesome little treasure this place is!

Situated along State Route 106, Hunter Farms has everything you need. Ice Cream. Fresh vegetables, Books on the history of the Olympic Peninsula and Hood Canal area. Organic. Honey. Nursery. They even have a Pumpkin Patch in the Fall and Christmas Trees for the holidays.

This is truly a treasure to explore! Right in the midst of many other attractions such as the Lucky Dog Casino down the way, and Lake Cushman and Hoodsport just miles down 101.

Enjoy!
