The Inn at Lost River
Ranked #2 of 3 Lost River B&B and Inns
Reviewed 25 June 2015

We have been going to The Inn at Lost River for a few years now, and our experience is consistently fantastic. The breakfast is oh-so-amazing, the grounds are meticulously maintained, and the serenity is unbeatable. The beds are very comfortable and make for a great night's sleep! A relatively short drive from the hustle of DC and I can truly relax here. Ted and Toni are wonderful and ever so generous. I cannot recommend The Inn at Lost River enough.

Room Tip: We love the Spring House for the screened in patio. Great for reading and enjoying a glass of wine...

I have nothing new to add but wanted to report my experience here was every bit as nice as described by all of the other reviewers.
Highly recommended for anybody wanting a peaceful, quiet stay in a lovely part of West Virginia, just two hours from Washington DC.

The Inn at Lost River was just what we needed when my boyfriend and I were looking for a relaxing getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city this past June 2014. The grounds were impeccably kept and the owners Ted and Toni were so accommodating, friendly and genuine. From the delicious organic meals prepared fresh for guests (breakfast was to die for!), to the wine served at happy hour on the back patio – we were in heaven in this quaint oasis! Our room was very comfortable and tastefully designed just like the common areas of the Inn. After a peaceful night’s rest, we both took a relaxing yoga class at the new studio just steps away from the Inn. I had never taken a yoga class before but I felt very welcome at the studio. Also, don’t forget to stop by the General Store on-site, where cute and unique gifts, home goods craft beers, food and wine can be purchased.
The Area: We took a walk to a nearby lake (about a mile walk) which was very picturesque, but if we had more time Ted and Toni recommended a few nearby hiking trails or a canoe trip (which we will be sure to try next time we go!). We also stopped by Lost River Brewing Co. because my boyfriend is a fan of craft beer.
It was truly an unforgettable stay and we returned home feeling very rejuvenated. Thank you so much Ted and Toni – we will be back!

The Inn at Lost River is a true gem. Host's Toni and Ted are FANTASTIC, make you feel like you are part of the family. Warm, inviting and gracious. Rooms are tastefully decorated, linens are top notch, beds are comfortable. Nice touch of chocolates and water in the room. The property and General Store are quaint and service by all is top notch. Breakfast his hearty and tasty!! We will be back again and again. A MUST if you are looking for somewhere in the Lost City/Lost River area.
