“One of the Finest State Parks in Wisconsin”

Wyalusing State Park
Ranked #1 of 2 things to do in Bagley

This year marked 100yrs of Wyalusing State Park and they don't make parks like this anymore. My son and I arrived at noon and grabbed one of the non-reservable sites on Wisconsin Ridge - overlooking the entire Mississippi River & Wisconsin River confluence facing north - and I have to tell you, they don't make State Parks like this anymore. The view from the campsite is unmatched in the State, with the Wisconsin River just below you, the Mississippi off to your left, and the lights of Prairie Du Chien a few miles away. The park has a fantastic concession stand, with affordable snacks and conveniences right next to the campground. You can rent canoes and kayaks. Great hiking trails along the bluffs. Check out the astronomy club those guys are top notch and very friendly people! We loved our stay would recommend it to anyone! For the full experience you MUST camp in the Wisconsin Ridge campground on the North end of the loop.

Beautiful views and great hikes. We hiked to Big Sand Cave. Our kids enjoyed exploring around Treasure Cave. Fun park but compared to other states parks in Wisconsin, probably won't venture out here again.

We stayed in a first come first serve site that was right on the ridge. It was beautiful. They have a nice restroom facility (with showers) in the ridge campground. They also had a really nice little concession where you could buy ice cream, ice etc. as well as rent canoes which we did. The park has basketball, tennis and volleyball courts, playground and lots of very nice trails. There is s a beach in town(Wyalusing) and several nice activities in Prairie Du Chien. We also visited Effigy Mounds National Monument just across the Mississippi in IA. So much to do and a beautiful park!

My daughter and I have been camping a lot this summer and I have to say this campground was a blast. We had so much fun in the park. It is very big. We were in the homestead campground which while further away from the beautiful views of the main campground, is quieter and has spacious sites. There are no showers at homestead you have to drive to the main campground for that. If you are lucky enough to be camping when there is a talk at the observatory do go. We were able to see the moons of Jupiter and the rings of Saturn. So cool. The hiking was beautiful and kayaking on the backwaters of the Mississippi was also lots of fun. They have canoes there you can rent if you don't have your own. Green cloud was a beautiful and quiet place to picnic but up a steep road ( worth it). We biked through the homestead campground and accidentally found this road called spook road that took you past Indian mounds ( there are other mounds throughout the park) and you end up at another pretty place to picnic ( called haringers point or something like that). Loved this park!!!
