This house (well, mansion) is something really quite special. Every room is full of fun and fascinating photos, art, vintage furniture and so on. The bedrooms are each unique and immaculately turned out, with lovely little details, such as a cute little bear on the bed telling you about the pillow room (another cool thing: a wide selection of pillows to suit your tastes!)

Best of all, though, is the host, Randy. Not only is he extremely knowledgeable about the house and its history but he's one hell of a chef and deeply passionate about his food. Breakfast is an absolute treat... if you can manage it all!

I highly recommend taking the tour around the mansion and spending some time just walking around the neighbouring streets to see the fascinating houses and, in autumn, the glorious red and yellow trees.

We stayed at the Allyn Mansion for our Baby Moon to celebrate the upcoming birth of our first son. The B&B was like spending the night in a museum of history and intrigue. We stayed in the EAstLake Room, which was perfect for us. We truly enjoyed the very elegant multi-course breakfast with the other guests. The food was incredible, home-made, from local ingredients. Every attention to detail was met by the kind and thoughtful staff. Even though our room didn't have a bath, I was allowed to reserve the clawfoot tub on another floor to enjoy a luxurious bath before bed. The complimentary massage was heaven . I would recommend this wonderful experience to anyone looking to relax in a romantic and historical atmosphere. I recommend going during Fall to see the leaves change and feel the spooky Halloween vibe of the area. - Sarah and Benjamin

Totally enjoyed our room, breakfast and the hospitality. The house is spectacular. Like going back to Downton Abbey days. Randy, the innkeeper, was a great source of information for dinner. He was very accommodating with requests we had. Had a great time.

Room Tip: Check on-line. Accurate descriptions.

We stayed at Allyn Mansion Oct 7th , we booked the peachy room with the bathroom down the hall it's a private one . So first the good , it's beautiful , warm welcoming, we were in the top floor, every room in this house is incredible , room was large, very high bed sheets we amazing , very quit , bathroom down the hall didn't bother us , plenty of hot water and good water pressure , I thought being g top floor it would be hot but it was very comfortable , 3 course breakfast offered in the morning , we didn't stay just because My hubby is a meat and potatoes kind of guy , the manager Randy offered to make French toast but we declined , Randy is a very nice guy :) lots of little extras like mini fridge stocked with water and sodas for free, beer and wine at 5:30 you get one free one , mini tablet in our room to use , we google movies and went to lake Gevena and saw a movie and had pizza , the bad is we only stayed one night :( Thanks for the great stay we will return ;)

My stay at Allyn Mansions was spectacular. Randy, the Innkeeper, was delightful and made sure every aspect of the visit was exceptional. He served us elegant four course breakfasts' which were delicious and made from fresh local ingredients. So much food, no need for lunch.
The afternoon wine and craft beer gathering was nice to meet other guests and to have quality wine and interesting cheeses, not run of the mill.
The rooms are each beautifully decorated, comfortable and quiet with a homey feeling.
Must have been 1000 thread count sheets they are using, wonderfully comfortable and luxurious.
Overall, hands down, rather then stay in Lake Geneva, for an ordinary stay, the short drive to the Allyn Mansion in Delavan is well worth it. You feel there that you are getting away from the city into a quiet, private hide away.
I felt really taken care of as if I were family there. Randy makes everyone feel welcomed.

Room Tip: Nanny, is a beautiful room with a private bath although there is a large bathroom down the hall as well. Second floor rooms are easier.

We are so happy you had a fabulous experience. Our goal is to have everyone feeling the same way.

We have to admit the sheets are amazing. We have tried for years to find better sheets and have never found any. Lots of guests ask to buy them.
