First time staying at the landing and we loved it. My husband and I spent two nights in one of the harbor rooms and the size and layout was perfect. So nice having a full kitchen and the walkout to the back patio/woods was beautiful. Loved the close proximity to everything making it very walkable. Great little walking trail behind the property that leads right to a beautiful swimming beach and park. Staff were very accommodating and professional. Will definitely stay again!

Staff was friendly while there. Room was super small. No daily housekeeping. We used the small room for a baby. It’s so small we had to move the bed over in order to fit the playpen and be able to close the door. We were then charged for a broken box spring. No one even slept on that bed since we slept on the sofa bed and a blowup mattress. PLEASE make sure you check everything once you arrive in order to avoid charges!!! Would never stay there again.

The room that you stayed in was only meant for no more than 4 people. It in no way was meant for a family of 6, which is what your family had. There were no larger units available to accommodate you because those rooms were already booked. In all our advertisements and in the confirmation you received it stated that the room had a queen bedroom and a queen sofa sleeper with a maximum of 4 people. Also in the confirmation you received upon booking and in the pre-stay email you received it again stated this information as well as that we are not doing daily housekeeping services at this time. Not only did you move the bed, but you also put the dining table and chairs outside on the patio. It is obvious that this room was too small for your family. Again, there are other rooms available that are meant to fit a family of 6. We did not mislead you in any way, as everything was spelled out to you.

I was surprised a 2 star resort still had so many amenities. I chose this resort because I wanted to be able to open the windows to provide air ventilation. I was delighted to have a private covered patio. While everything was small for our one bedroom, it was very nice to have a kitchenette, decent sized TVs in both rooms. It was a very close walk to downtown egg harbor to visit shops or watch the sunset. It was also across the road from Hatch Distillery, Wild Tomato pizzeria, and a brewery, and next door to The Big Easy cafe and Wildfire restaurant so great dining options were just steps away. Other Patrons were not very COVID conscious in the indoor pool. So we did not spend too much time there.

Room tip: 4 adults, 1 tiny bottle of shampoo. I’m glad we brought our own.

We were in the Admirals Loft 2 suite. It's described as a three bedroom suite, but that's a bit misleading. There is a private master suite and bathroom on the main floor, but the other two "bedrooms" are not enclosed; just at opposite ends of each other in the loft area with a closet and full bathroom in between. However, the suite was spacious and very clean and comfortable. There were many board games and hundreds of DVD's to use for free. The kitchen is minimally stocked with cooking utensils and cookware, but is sufficient for making simple foods and meals. The suite faced the parking lot which is not the most scenic. We were on second floor and there is no elevator nor are there any luggage carts. Coffee was available in the lobby, and pool area was neat and clean. We had some very noisy "neighbors" a few doors down that seemed to be visiting as a large family with adjacent rooms, but when we asked them nicely to quiet down after 10 PM, they were respectful. The front desk staff and cleaning staff were friendly and nice. The suite overall was clean and neat and attractively decorated.

Room tip: Ask for a room NOT facing the parking lot. We had headlights and lot lights shining in our room and it's not very scenic.

Thank you for the positive review! It is great to hear that there were many things you enjoyed about your stay. We also appreciate your other feedback listing some things that were questionable. In the description of the room that is on all of our information it does state that there is a king bed in a loft and a queen bed in a semi-private alcove in the loft along with a king bed in a private bedroom downstairs. There is no where that states there are three "bedrooms." There are also pictures showing the layout of the room on our website. We don't try to mislead our guests in any way. Again, we appreciate your feedback, and are happy to hear there were many positive aspects of your stay. Hopefully you will come and be our guests again in the future!

Great location and a very friendly, hard-working staff. Room was clean and things pretty much worked as they should EXCEPT for a shower that had such miserable water pressure that it was like using a sprinkling can. As others have noted the property is a bit dated and I suspect maintenance issues will increase as the property ages. In fairness, when this place was built in the 1980's the builder didn't use the most durable materials which means they wear faster and you can see signs of that. We would stay here again but they really need to get just a little more into maintenance.

Thank you for staying at The Landing Resort! We do various projects each year that update our resort. For example, this year our windows in the outer buildings and part of our main building are getting replaced. Last year we replaced the patio doors in all the rooms. Even though we are an older resort, we do realize that updates do need to be done. We appreciate your feedback and hope you will stay with us again!
