Description: Wickman House is located in a historic lodge in Ellison Bay, Door County. Offering sandwiches from Paying tribute to the property's original owners and namesake, this historical landmark was reborn as Wickman House in 2012. The renovation and design of the property are dedicated to restoring its history with an eclectic blend of original decor from the early 1920's. Also true to the property's original purpose: the restaurant's focus is on sustainable agriculture, featuring a menu inspired by fresh, seasonal ingredients sourced from local farms and gardens. Finally, the property's enhanced space strives to be a true gathering place, much like The Ellison Bay Lodge was nearly a century ago. The proprietors, chefs, and staff at Wickman House strive to provide their guests with the ultimate dining experience through professional service and the use of only fresh, sustainable foods. All seafood is humanely harvested and sustainably considered. Nearly all ingredients not arriving from the sea come from local Wisconsin farms, artisans, and growers. All baked goods, desserts, sauces, stocks, and soups are made in house from scratch, just the way the Wickman Family would have wanted.

I would dine here if it were in my home city. But to find this place, tucked away on a quiet back street, after so much Northwoods shmaltz and nostalgia and frankly, mediocre service and food, this place shined like a lighthouse at the tip of the peninsula.

Tasty food. Drinks spectacular. Welcoming staff, who went out of their way to make our meal memorable and comfortable (we brought a newborn). Food was delicious and contemporary without being precious. Drinks were outstanding. Glad to see modern dining exists in Door County and hope to see their influence spread to other parts of the county.

Thanks for a great time. See you on the next visit.

We have eating here many times, and every time has been excellent. Service is always impeccable. Food is great. Fantastic atmosphere. The only problem is it can be hard to get in...plan ahead and get a reservation way in advance!

Four of us came here and sat on the porch. Lauren was our server....helped us with picking a wine and she was spot on. If you want a 'wow' meal here, order the pork chop...it's huge and delicous with brussel sprout patties. Crazy delicous.
Also, the salmon which was one of the specials was melt in you mouth yummy. The wasabi mashed potatoes were delish. My girlfriend had the flank steak...and she's picky, but she said it was perfection. The salads were crisp and fresh, the caesar dressing wasn't too sour. This place remains one of my favorite.

Whether it's fine dining or a casual meal, this is one of the best place on the peninsula..Service and food are great. Can't wait for my next visit.

This was one of the best meals I have ever had. We started with the lamb tacos w/blue cheese - very good, then split the house salad - heirloom tomatoes from the Wickman garden fresh arugula and tapenade - excellent. My wife had the trout stuffed with house made kimchi and Nueske's bacon on brown rice, grilled romaine and drizzled with a miso lime vinaigrette - this was the BEST Meal ever. I had the California Cioppino, but the trout was so good it made my seafood pale in comparison. We finished the meal with a dessert sampler; pecan short bread tweel, dark chocolate mini cake, lemon short bread cookie with homemade ginger ice cream, blueberry oatmeal cookie with sweetcorn ice cream (outstanding) pumpkin creme bruele and flourless chocolate torte. The service was outstanding and fun, the meal was out of bounds. Thank You Wickman House for a night to remember
