Tucked between clothing stores, a pleasantly unexpected treasure on a hot day - "GELATO" enticed us away from our original lunch plans & into Chocolaterie Stam (Greenway Station shopping mall). Refreshing & so delicious. Though known for their chocolates my absolute favorite was & is the Pink Grapefruit. We split one, then purchased a pint & were unable to stop from digging in as well! They were very accommodating and allowed us 2 flavors in one pint, as my better half's fav is the salted caramel.

Quite a refined, upscale candy store with attention to dainty detail. A few tables available to have a seat, take in the unusual, yet rich decor & ambience. We purchased a few different chocolates; some of the cupcake chocolates as gifts, darling, dainty - though a bit on the pricey side. The challenge for us was that they were such detailed & masterfully crafted works of art, was hard to destroy (eat) the ones we purchased for ourselves. Great for gifts!

Have been back several times for the Gelato & that is worth the visit alone. On some occasions the store clerks are super friendly and welcoming... Other times some store clerks were a bit stand-offish. One occasion charged us for candy we ordered, yet failed to include it in our bag. When asked, instead of offering to simply give us what we paid for, strangely suggested we take a (1) broken sample to split from a tray she pulled from behind the counter and call it even though the item initially requested & paid for was quite a bit pricier. Requested the purchase a 2nd time (as it was for a gift), & she acted as though it was a huge bother, then offered us 2 samples instead. Uncertain what the issue was - to simply obtain our initial purchase when clearly charged for it. Strange!

Still wouldn't allow that to dissuade us from stopping by for the Gelato. Enjoy if you're able to check it out.

Both the store and the chocolates are elegant and beautiful, and the many flavors amazing. An array of European candies, and gelato are also available. There are a few cozy tables for a great cup of coffee - similar to a european cafe. It is, however, expensive, and there are other good chocolate places in Madison. Not a good place for hyper children, I take friends there when I want to thank them for a favor.

This shop is in an outdoor shopping mall and the associate working was pleasant and helpful. The selection of chocolates is average. I've been to other chocolatiers that have a far better selection. The truffles I bought were good, but not great. Flavor profiles were a little bland. Nothing to write home about.

Stopped in for a bite--the chocolates looked fantastic but I went with ice cream/gelato! The chocolate and the chocolate hazelnut flavors were awesome! Highly recommend if you're in the area!

It seems so easy to miss this shop tucked in between various clothing stores, but I'm always impressed with their dark chocolates, and the European feeling to picking out the individual selections from behind the glass.

In summer, it's fun to see what gelato flavors are being featured for the week. Was hoping for pink grapefruit on my most-recent visit, but was content to try strawberry banana instead.
