Traveling last Saturday from La Crosse area towards home stopped here to have dinner. Had been there years ago and just wanted to see how it was now. Place was updated from the last time I was there. Hostess stated would be a while as they only had two waitress on, this was at 5:30, seemed odd. Sat at bar, bar tender stated he was the owner. Several beers on tap. As it was Saturday night one of the specials was prime rib. I had that and the wife had liver. Salad bar was very good selections. Took sometime to get our meal, not sure if it was not enough staff or just the kitchen was slow. Wife's liver she stated was great. My prime rib not so much, ordered med rare came very well done. Because of the staff shortage I couldn't get our waitresses attention and because it had taken so long and i was hungry I just ate it. So not sure if this was just an off night or every night is this way, so you may have to just go and see what happens. Not a five star and not a one star very average.

We were pleasantly surprised with the atmosphere of this restaurant. From the front it says Beer Joint, inside it says FAMILY FREINDLY.

The Ribs are the best all you have to do is push with the fork and the meat falls off the bones. The Barbecue sauce tastes great along with the ribs. Ribs are the special on Thursdays. The Friday night Fish fry is great also. The Prime Rib on Saturday is also great.

Our daughter and a friend met us here after a weekend of bike trail riding and kayaking. It's an out of the way Wisconsin supper club with friendly service, great prices and good food. Around the table we ordered fried chicken (delish), baked chicken (the special), petite filet (perfect medium rare), and deep fried cod (hot, crisp and firm). The soup and salad bar were included and the baked potato and broccoli sides were good too. The decor is kitschy and the service great. We'll go again

Found this place while driving between Tomah and Sparta when we had no cell service. It was a welcome surprise to find a decent old fashioned and prime rib dinner. The beer cheese potato soup was delicious; not too thick with great flavor. The salad bar was fresh with all the favorites: pickled beets, herring and home made dressing. We thoroughly enjoyed this place!
