Booked to stay here back in October via booking.com and the full amount for the room was taken despite saying it would only be a deposit. Was not so bothered as was only going to have to pay it anyway.
A few weeks before we were due to go we had an email from booking.com saying the booking had been cancelled due to the company no longer being in business. I emailed the property and after a week got a few word reply saying that it was not true. We decided it was a shame as it looked a lovely unique place to stay but we couldn't take the risk as we would be travelling with a 4 year old so we requested a refund through booking.com which thankfully came through. After reading some of the other reviews if we had booked it direct I don't think we would have been so lucky.
We then managed to get in somewhere else. We drove past while we were there to have a look and there was absolutely no sign of it being in business...no cars parked at the lodges, not even a sign saying it's name to confirm you are in the right place. I don't know what is going on with management here but I would avoid like the plague until it gets itself in order, or better still changes altogether.More
