Well worth the stop. This time of year with the winter run off the water was gushing and the reservoir was beautiful.
We did see it on passing and took note and some pictures.
Other than that it was not a focus and we would have needed to researched more on this item.
Bring your camera and take some pictures...the water and the mountains behind it is breath taking...
Visited in April, before the Park roads were open but when the weather was starting to warm up. Walked along the shore with my children and couldn't hear anything except the wind. Absolutely beautiful. We were the only ones on the reservoir. . . felt completely alone.
This is another undervalued reservoir next to Yellowstone National Park.
The colors were amazing and the lake was fabolous!
A must see attraction on the way to Cody! :-)
I've driven by this beautiful lake many times and it's always a scenic view. It looks like a great place for boating and has spots one could pull over for and enjoy picnic. Right on the scenic road to Yellowstone just 6 miles from Cody.
