My son and I were driving from Oregon to Colorado. We stopped here lured by the promise of the hot springs. The check in staff was very friendly, and offered us warm cookies. We had a room directly across from the springs, which was nice, as it was below freezing outside, so it was a quick trip to the warm and relaxing waters. They have several tepees situated above the pools, which are lined with beautiful stonework. Each tepee has a different temperature setting, so you can choose your comfort level. We started out cooler and worked our way warmer. Each tepee can accommodate 4-6 people. There is a larger, uncovered pool which can accommodate a larger group, and then there is a swimming pool, filled with warm waters fed by the springs. They have done a beautiful job of lighting. Enough to see, and still enjoy the millions of stars in the skies at night. Our room was older, but very well kept. It had a cowboy/ranch motif. It appears they are slowly replacing some of the older bathrooms, but, still, we enjoyed feeling as though we were experiencing a piece of the old west. We absolutely LOVED the common fireplace room. The grounds also included a giant chessboard, with western themed pieces. Breakfast in the dining room was ample and tasty. We look forward to our next visit.
