My husband and I stayed in the Crow's Nest and we couldn't have been happier - the accommodations, breakfasts, views, information, fruits and coffee were beyond expectations. We would definitely return. We enjoyed meeting Kurt, Kana, his lovely daughter, Kana's mom and sister while there and made new friends of other guests from around the world. I was able to relax, read, rest and enjoy the scenery and fresh air. Aloha and Mahalo nui.

Room Tip: We enjoyed the spaciousness of the Crow's Nest

It's being able to show the aloha spirit to guests like you (for some 15 years now) that makes us enjoy doing what we do so much. Thank you, sincerely, for staying with us !

The Edge of the World is one of the greatest travel stays of my life. Kurt and Kana are attentive, helpful, kind, interesting, engaging, intelligent, and, and, and! The place has a view and sunsets to die for. The breakfasts are delicious, and served on the deck overlooking the coast. Comfy beds, lots of hot water, stunning views, and seriously underpriced for the quality of the experience. Nearly everything in grown on-site, including the fruits and the coffee. Kurt is a walking library of local attractions and culture, and he will spend as much time as you need; first to get to know you, and then to steer you towards attractions that will provide the perfect fit. Kana is charming, kind, and will make sure that nothing is lacking during your stay. I stayed for three nights, accompanied by my wife and 21-yr-old son. Edge of the World is the perfect spot for you to see the area, try some of the finest snorkeling in Hawaii, see green sea turtles by the score, drink the finest coffee, view beautiful sunsets from the deck, and converse with one of the most fascinating, kind, and caring individuals you'll ever meet.

We stayed for four nights at The Edge and could have stayed much longer. The Pacific room was excellent , wonderful view and the breakfasts were delicious. Our hosts were very helpful with places to eat and also things to do when our plans were cancelled due to bad weather!

Room Tip: Ask for the Pacific room if possible

Luck of the draw on the weather. (My coffee plants were probably quite happy. Best if it rains in the nights and sunshines in the day). I'd day 95% of the time it's "Sunny Kona". Nice to get to know you. We like it when guests stay for several days--makes it feel like a real B&B with real people rather than just a bed for bucks. Thank you for choosing us, and hope to see you again some day !

Kurt and his family are very warm and welcoming hosts and made us feel at home. They are very glad to answer any questions and to give you advices in what to visit on the island.

We had a very big room with ajoining bathroom and our own private part of the terrasse with a stunning view. Furthermore we had a own fridge and were allowed to use coolers and all available beach and snorkling gear.

Breakfast was also great: everyday many different fruits, toast and eggs or also pancakes.

Thank you for having us! We can only recommend you!

Located at about 1500 ft so cooler. Superb sea view from lanai
Fantastic quality bed and appropriate bedding. Very spacious rooms with ample storage
Spacious bathroom
Interested owners who help you plan your holiday and make the best of Big Island. Great hosts.
Unusual exotic breakfasts featuring home grown fruit
Great communications before arrival

Music to my ears ! Mahalo. By the way, Google Maps now has it right, but most GPS systems will take you to Never-Never Land. Happy day, Kurt and Kana
