We paid $211/night total for Sun-Tue in January with queen bed. Rooms very comfortable, clean and well-maintained for an older place. Strange pillows seemed to want to inflate themselves, but not a big issue. Large grounds included event space. Outdoor picnic tables in a quiet courtyard setting. Contactless check-in/out worked fine. Quiet, near main drag in Hawi. Great bird noises at night.
Location is excellent (I.e., short drive) for whale watching on NW coast of big island (Kapa’a Beach Park especially). Also close to Pololū gorge for a great hike. Dinner options somewhat limited based on hours and days open, but it’s a tiny town. Breakfast and lunch more available. Great coffee shop in town (Kohala Coffee Mill).
I’d go there again.More
