We will start with the good: Dinner. Nathan did a great job. Food was good and his presentation was entertaining. The setting: the falls are wonderful. A solid Hawaii waterfall setting Staff: nice folks who did what they could to make your stay nice for the most part Now the rest: Dinner though good, it was definitely overpriced. And not just by a little. Room: The room was average at best. I was amazed to show up and see that some rooms faced the parking lot and storage tank and not the falls. The overall quality of the room it self was not the best. Materials used in the room itself where somewhat cheap. Needs a serious remodel. Have to say one of the most incredible misses by the hotel was breakfast. Remember, this is Hawaii. The expectation was fresh fruits, etc. What they delivered was boxed cereal and pre wrapped pastries from Costco. Truly laughable. We did have a cat make it into our room on night one. The response of staff of "just close the door" is definitely not the right one. Let's see, no AC and you want us to close the door so that a cat, which should not be entering the room to begin with, cannot get in. Yeah, time to re-think the roaming cat policy.
