My husband and I spent the first four nights of our honeymoon at this charming bed and breakfast. We couldn't have been more pleased with our choice. The B&B has only two rooms, both of which are separate from the house on a long lanai that overlooks the B&B farm, dropping down towards the sea. Consequently the room is private, full of the sounds of birds and tree frogs chirping. It is also sunny and well-lit, with a private lanai and a small indoor lounging/living area, complete with a stereo with Hawaiian tunes. We enjoyed watching the sunset over the water from our lanai. We used the small refrigerator to store beer and picnic goods. The bed was big and comfy as was the bathroom-- loved the large jacuzzi tub. Everything was clean and well thought-out: soaps, beach stuff, bottle opener, cooler, ceiling fan. Nice interior design, too.
The private, comfortable, spacey room was made more perfect by Lonn's excellent service. Lonn literally asked us what we like for breakfast and we got exactly that (pancakes, bacon AND scrambled eggs with roasted poblanos and green onions, fresh kona coffee from his farm, papaya and bananas). His breakfasts were not only hearty (which was good for carrying us through our daytime activities) but also delicious!! The rest of our Hawaii vacation we missed Lonn's breakfasts.
There is something special about this place that made it feel more like a home where we could spend time relaxing, in comfortable and lovely surroundings. It felt like we were renting a gorgeous home for the two of us, with fantastic breakfasts included. What a deal. We very highly recommend this beautiful spot to couples who are looking for comfort, privacy, and beauty. We will be back but until then we will think of our time there fondly.
