Spent an enjoyable week in Kauai. Was rainy and cool but still had a great time. The Marriott could not have been any better. Things to do and people to meet. The staff was great and the care was awesome. I would recommend this property to everyone.

We have been here with another couple for a week and have thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. This is a stone’s throw from the airport at Lihue and is a very quiet enjoyable vacation spot. The units are large with a big kitchen and an even bigger lanai with a five panel sliding glass door onto the 10 x 20 lanai overlooking the ocean. There is a beautiful pool and garden area with bbq grills. There are 17 miles of hiking trails around the lagoon and golf course area. This resort does not have a sandy beach, but you may go down to the other Marriott on the property for the beach access and an even bigger pool. This property does not have an on-site restaurant, but again, it is quickly accessible at the other Marriott by the marina and beach. There is also a state of the art fitness center on site. The activity director here offers root beer float, popcorn, pu-pus and many other activities from Monday through Friday.

Love the visit. The rooms are spacious. Beware of the bugs outside, we had a few wasps nests but their crews took care of it right away. Always a great stay. Love the location that's next to the golf course.

We are platinum elite - chairman’s club folks - been in every MVCI Hawaii resort in Hawaii several times each over the last 30+ years and several in Europe.
Kauai Lagoons is as good as they come. Beautiful property, friendly staff, best villas in MVCI - no beach, no restaurant, no problem when you know it in advance - pre-plan accordingly. Helicopter/ aircraft noise did bother us. No bugs, etc. just a great resort. Great for adults - Maui or Ko’Olina is better with kids.
We will be coming back to Lagoons often.
Now my gripe......
Way finding signs are lousy and non-existent.
On our first trip two years ago - arrived late at night,
Raining, in a rental car, tired from 8 hour flight, can not find the dang place, getting mad about it, crying kids etc, etc, NO lighted signs saying “Marriott Lagoons” this way ! No lighted signs where to register etc etc etc
I pointed this out to the folks here - they said others have complained. I did a trip advisor review then and the response from Marriott was “we will look into it. Bull
Now that we have been here twice - not a problem for us - we know the way.
I just feel sorry for those coming for the first time, in the rain, from “the main land”
The cost to get some appropriate, classy signs up wouldn’t break Marriott’ budget . Come on Marriott - get with it. Thanks

Thank you for your review, Duane. We appreciate your feedback and insight on directional signs for the resort. The signs indicate Kalanipu'u as the resort name is "Marriott's Kaua'i Lagoons - Kalanipu'u." Owner services now provides additional information to help Owners find their way. We are glad you enjoyed the resort and look forward to having you back.

We've been doing an annual trip to a Marriott Vacation club each year for the past five years, and this one was the best property. The others were all very nice, but nothing could match the views of the bay and mountain range from the Marriott Lagoons in Kuaui. The pool was small but a great place to take in the sunset. There also was no bar or restaurant on site, but the condos came with full kitchen & there was a small convenience shop at the front desk. (It had quite a lot of snacks, etc, and served as a de facto bar with single cans of beer for purchase)

Room tip: Fortunately the views are all great, but the higher floors are better...
