Old, mouldy and smelly Booked for 12 nights stayed only 2 because it was so gross
Q306. Never again had to wear flip flops in the shower. Panels of the blinds missing
Corroded taps and light fixtures.

Aloha, Cheryl. We are sorry to hear about the condition of your guest room. Unit Q306, however, is a privately owned unit and does not belong to Soleil Management’s inventory at Maui Banyan. This TripAdvisor page was created for reviews of Soleil’s vacation club units on the Maui Banyan property. Our 19 two-bedroom guest units are well maintained and have the added benefit of onsite property management to address any concerns on the spot. We regret this was not your experience.

Spent 3 nights here for a mini-vacation from the Big Island. The property is older but well maintained with attractively planted grounds. Our studio efficiency room was clean, comfortable and well stocked. There was a full-size microwave, small refrigerator, coffee maker, toaster, blender (!) as well as dishes, glasses and flatware. There were starter kitchen supplies. I didn't like the soft mattress. Although it is a concrete building, the walls seemed kinda thin; we heard our neighbors for a short while but then they quieted down. Two decent pools and hot tubs. Plenty of parking. Across the road from Kamaole Beach Park II. A block or two from restaurants and shops. Desk staff were extremely friendly and accommodating, making us multiple keycards and obtaining an extra blanket for us. The only problem was the "maintenance" guy who refused to replace the hairdryer which made such a racket and did not provide enough heat; I thought I was going to be electrocuted.

The Maui banyan is in the perfect location. It has a stunning view of the ocean but only if you are in the correct building on the right side. But other than that we personally loved the stay. We don’t go anymore because we have been experimenting with different hotels for the past few years but we stayed again after that. Great room, very spacious. The best room I’ve had for the past six years of annual Maui vacations. Has a push pad to unlock the room so don’t worry about loosing your keys. Many little shops around but far enough off the road that there is no traffic noise. Definitely recommend. Perfect for a family or couples vacation. Also, I’m the evening, lots of tourists walk down every night to watch the sunset. The Maui banyan is just across the road along with kamole beach park 1. The only issue is the pool. It’s not very big and when my family visited the second time, my kids, Joshua 13, Callie 10, and Ariana 8, weren’t able to swim because there was around twelve teenage boys in the pool. If the pool had been bigger then there wouldn’t have been a problem. I knew the boys were just having fun so I would have been fine with it but it ruined there last day at the pool so it was a so called happy ending to the trip. A few days before that the same thing happened. It was very hot out and I guess that twenty parents decided to take there multiple kids to the pool. That bummed out my kids. But other than then the pool situation everything was great.

A bit disappointed with condo. One of the Bathrooms wasn't clean. The bureaus paint was peeling off and drawers were flimsy. Beds in one of the bedrooms were singles and separated. Pillows had ripped pillow cases and pillows themselves were so lumpy almost better without them. It was across street from beach.

Only frustration is the parking is tight when we stayed over the holidays. Most vacant stalls are reserved by owner.

Rooms was comfortable. We were assigned a unit that could be joined and only had a partial kitchenette (no kettle or elements or BBQ utensils). A bit noisy as we were one of the closest units to the main road but it was worth being that much closure to the beach.
