We had issues with our first room. Extremely small that we didn’t have room to put clothes away. Couldn’t even pass each other on the sides of the bed. Bathroom was so small only one person could fit in it at a time. We asked for a different room and they switched us. Really isn’t any entertainment at night. Bar located in the restaurant but you had to go sit on a beach chair by the pool to drink it. Not much of a pool or beach area. Menu was very limited and expensive. Pancakes were $20 and two eggs were $7. Breakfast was the least expensive. Our shower floor was slimey from day one and we had to ask for wash cloths every day. They kept only leaving one wash cloth. That got old fast. Would not stay here again.

This was our 17th trip to the Royal Lahaina in the last 10 years! We keep coming back because of the family feel and the spirit of Aloha that all the staff shows! We love that we see the familiar faces of the staff from the moment they welcome us home at check in until the say we’ll see you soon at checkout! We love our Royal Lahaina family especially Uncle Gilbert! We are already booked for April!

This resort was a great part of our trip! The room was very nice, the staff were all super friendly and helpful, and the beach is absolutely stunning. I would definitely book another stay here! It was about a 5 minute walk from our room out to the beach, so that was amazing. They have an area where they rent out fun ocean items, like snorkels and such, so that was really convenient. The restaurant on property is delicious, even though it is a little pricier than other places on the island. There is also a nice little coffee shop that was really good too! The best part about waking up was opening the door to our balcony and sitting out there and enjoying the morning with a beautiful view of the ocean.

Room tip: We booked a "partial ocean view" room and the views were still absolutely stunning.

Gorgeous grounds, had a ocean front cottage room, kids loved the beach. Honestly the only downfall is the pool is basic, which is fine by me but the kids got bored; but the beach is the best of probably a dozen we visited in Maui for kids hands down.

Because I got a good kamaʻāina rate, I expected it to be like the Pagoda on Oʻahu, but it was WAY better than what I was expecting. I would definitely stay there again! The staff was super friendly and the rooms were nice. I especially liked that I needed to show proof of vaccination upon checkin.
