This golf course is located on the west end of the Ewa plains in Kapolei. Since most of the area is naturally flat I expected to have wide open fairways and was not disappointed. There are slopes of varying degrees and lots of water hazards. The most challenging hole I felt was the 18th with a water hazard in front of a hilly green. I had a great play and will return again.

New owners not friendly with Caucasians Japanese must play at least a 4 some if not more. Slow moving
(Analyze, pose, practice shots are at least 4, and still hit poorly LOL!!!! And don't forget the pictures on top of the swatting posing, AND they have the nerve to change clothing!!!) They do not let faster players play thru. Rude Etiquette (Probably don't know the meaning). Time consuming. They offered to let us play with 2 other Asians (Seriously!!!) They would not make it on the mainland! Rolling my eyes now. The Hawaiians treated us nicely at Makaha. Again, LOL, not prejudice, just trying to play golf they way it is suppose to be. We arranged a time for the two of us. Won't go back to Kapolei! Appreciated Makaha! Will go back!!!

A colleague was leaving the island and a couple of friends decided on having lunch here after looking up the menu on line. There was breakfast, pupu, lunch and dinner options on the menu, which had a small selection. But for the items listed, 2 of us had the Garlic Crusted Salmon over a bed of ramen noodles, blended with shredded asparagus, diced grape tomatoes with a white cream sauce. The salmon was moist and prepared perfectly, the noodles might have sounded funky but the blended tastes were great!

The other person had the calamari which came with cocktail sauce -- though the breading tasted more like the breading on onion rings, the calamari was tender. She also opted for tartar sauce (a blend with horse raddish sauce) which made the pupu a better appetizer than what we thought the cocktail sauce would have been, and we were right! But, we would not order that again. Overall, nice open view (enclosed with ceiling to floor glass) of the golf course.

Our golf club plays there once every year, but this year they won't renew our tee times for next year. They don't respond to our calls. They are trying to be a resort course without a resort. Very high priced for what you are getting.
