We were at first upset by the staff at the check-in desk as we would like to check in in earlier, I was a bit angry that the hotel does not have flexibility and not putting customers first. The reception staff told us to come back at 3pm as that is the strict check in time and even the hotel has a room available, they would not allowed us to check in early unless we pay unreasonable ultra high price. The morning shift receptionist was very very unhelpful and just told us to sit at the business center. While we were sitting and waiting at the business center, a much friendly and helpful staff named Larry came to help us. He called the supervisor to ask for early check-in and gave us access to club lounge to have breakfast and spend the time. He also proactively showed us the timetable of shuttle bus going to the outlet for us to spend the time. This is the level of service that I would really expect from a 5-star hotel. At the end, we were allowed to check-in at 12pm. We love the friendly staff here (except for the unhelpful morning shift check-in counter lady), the oceanview suite was fantastic, we also enjoyed the tranquil environment here and took a lot of nice photos at the infinity pool. Room service was quite good but the hotel buffet dinner does not offer a lot of choices, still, it is acceptable. Only bad thing is that the location of the hotel seems isolated, not many shops and restaurants nearby. Finally, I suggest travelers who arrive early have to confirm with the hotel for early check in requests and highly recommend the oceanview corner suite room type as it comes with a bottle of complimentary sparkling wine, free club lounge access (breakfast, tea and happy hour) and magnificent ocean view.

We stayed in a gorgeous corner suite with a balcony jacuzzi! Great relaxing stay! Beds are very firm. My husband loved it but I prefer a more plush bed. Suite had corner sectional couch our 4 year old slept comfortably on. Suite came with club access and free buffet breakfast. We want to return but cannot until the infinity pool is deep cleaned. Lots of floating black algae all over the pool. It clearly hasn’t been cleaned in a very long time. It’s disgusting and a public health risk. The infinity pool deck is extremely slippery even when walking slowly and carefully and saw multiple kids and adults take bad falls, including my daughter who hit her head. This needs to be addressed to avoid more injuries. Hope to hear from the general manager with an update that the infinity pool has been cleaned so we can return.

We arrive in Guam at 4 am, leaving at the same day at 6pm. But we still want to relax and rest a bit before we hop on to another flight.

So here we go, we stayed in The Westin before, so this time we wanna try Sheraton. It's not centrally located like Westin, which you can walk down to the centre. But Sheraton is close to the outlet, they even have shuttle every 30 mins, which is fantastic when you have limited time. They got supermarket in walking distance. So if you just have a day like me, this is the place you can do all the shopping in a morning.

We have lunch in the hotel by the pool side, the pool itself is lovely, it's a grogerous infinity pool. There's other one is for kids, they got slide as well. So the pool is not that packed.

And we are glad we got the room upgrade to suite at the same floor as the lounge, we got the awesome sea view, the room is spacious.

So speaking of all the pros of the hotel, what really disappoint me? The lounge. Basically I will say there's nothing to eat in the lounge, they dont even serve egg, for hot dish, there's just few choice, I guess the highlight is rice? If you are Japanese or rice lover? You can have the rice and soup. But I was expecting a more international breakfast. And for the Happy hour section, it's all basic, just some chips and feel free to serve yourself by the fridge. They got wine and beer. There's no spirit, surprisingly, there's no staff at all. By the sheraton normal standard, I was expecting a better lounge with full service. This is the first lounge I been that is like a canteen.

So everything is perfect but the lounge need serious improvement. And the check in process take ages, I dunno is it because she is too tired during midnight? But I was expecting everything is prepare at the front desk, as there should not be many guest not check in yet during the day. Turn out, we nearly fell asleep at the desk while waiting.

Second time staying at the Sheraton and again, overall it was decent. The resort itself is fairly nice although very dated. Compared to the first time, our experience was a little worse.
Firstly, we stayed in a nicer room (Ocean Front Corner room with a spa) which had a stunning view but the room itself had very little space. It was full of large furniture with little space to move, for luggage etc. The balcony was huge and the best thing about the room, except we found broken glass all over the balcony when we checked in. We called housekeeping and it was cleaned up, however upon closer inspection, there was still a lot of small shards everywhere. Not nice when you have a 3yo child running around everywhere. I'm not one to make big complaints, but it was disappointing that they didn't even offer us anything as a result. In fact, it felt like the service went down from then on.

The daily housekeeping was inconsistent, and some days didn't even come unless we called. And when they did come, the room was made up or cleaned differently every time, often not replacing the water bottles.

There were hardly any power outlets so was difficult to charge devices. Not even outlets on the bedside. Ended up having to unplug a lamp and charge on the floor in the living room. Something to hang wet clothes and towels on the balcony would be handy also.

The club room is a little disappointing. Very limited selection for both breakfast and evening snacks. The breakfast staff seem run off their feet and it is difficult to get a clean table when you arrive. The evening snacks seemed like leftovers from the buffet restaurant the night before. The alcohol for the evening drinks consists of beer or cheap red/white wine.

The pool and waterslide are ok, but also quite dated and deteriorating. The rock path at the top of the waterslide is old and absolutely excruciating to walk on. Another downside is that the hotel doesn't have a beach.

It's still an ok stay, but was just let down by a few things this trip and next time will probably try one of the other hotels in tumon.

While everything about the property might fall into the same quality bar and rating as other Sheraton Grand establishments, the location and hospitality is what sets this place apart from the other hotels of the chain. If you are ok with putting up with overwhelming tourist crowd from Japan and Korea , that you might find all over the property, from the lobby to the lounge areas, then this place is a great option.

LOCATION: While a bit remote and away from the main strip, it is a located right next to the waterfront with a lot more tranquil feel than the other hotels in the strip

DINE + DRINK: The basement restaurant is a great place for a meal and also serves Breakfast with a wide variety of local and international options

ROOM: I stayed in 1061, so this review is based on that; VIEW: Spectacular view of the ocean with a special sunset you should not miss!; SIZE: Very spacious suite with a living room and great bedroom; AIR-CON: Perfectly functioning cooler that helped in setting the perfect room temperature; BED: Comfortable bed that played the expected part to put me to sleep; BATHROOM: Lovely Stand in shower; TOILETRIES: Very good SHINE brand cosmetics

FACILITIES:Decent gym with good range of machines and weights, but sadly located in the ground floor without any windows and feels a bit claustrophobic. HOwever the spectacular infinity pool more than makes up for it and wonderful for a sunset swim!

SERVICE: Friendly staff that took care of all my needs with a smile and made us feel pampered and well taken care of. Special Shout out to Mr.Arnold - the Front office manager who made our stay even more special by how he took care of us and accommodated all our special dietary needs etc. 5 star rating for him for sure! And so was George , the person who drove us to our next accommodation at Westin.

HOW WIRED YOU WILL BE: Free high speed Wi-Fi that works well all over the property. Big Plasma TV screen dishing out dozens of channels spanning sports, news, music, movies and a wide variety of entertainment in multiple languages
