We have never had a better lobster feast anywhere. The mussels, clams and lobster were so fresh and flavorful, and the blueberry pie that followed was wicked good! Our server Richard was attentive and very professional. As good as it gets and the view above the harbor is absolutely beautiful.

We had lunch here a few weeks ago on a very sunny but windy day. The view is awesome! Our lunches were extremely good! Our server was friendly and attentive and very gracious about us asking to change tables. It is pricey but so worth it.

My wife ordered the Clams and Maine Lobster and got violently sick on our Seabourn cruise last week.
Several locals recommended this hotel because of its History and setting.
I had the Lobster roll and New England chowder, soup was served cold and Lobster roll roll was old day or week old Lobster that was edible. Service was terrible.
There are excellent locals and don't be tempted because Bar Harbour Inn 5 Stars.
I don't even give them a STAR.

We were on the cruise ship Anthem of the Seas and our ship called in at Bar Harbor. We were tendered in from the ship through pea soup fog so it was quite exciting. We did a little tour around Bar Harbour but unfortunately the fog followed us with only a few clear areas on the tour. Following our tour after some shopping in the lovely town we had a late lunch at the Bar Harbor Inn outside restaurant which was lovely and in between the fog we had lovely views of the harbour. As you would expect the menu consisted of fish food which was lovely. Nice little place and lovely hotel and worth stopping for a meal or a drink.

We visited in early October, a week before closing for the season. The restaurant only has outdoor seating, and it was so nice to sit on the terrace with a great view, even though it was a bit chilly. The drinks and food were great; we had the blueberry sangria, lobster stew in a bread bowl, spinach and artichoke dip, and wild Maine blueberry pie. The best meal I've had in Bar Harbor! Definitely recommend.
