Charming, quirky small hotel close to many good restaurants and bars. Service was outstanding and thoughtful. Good breakfasts included, and very comfortable little parlour with cosy fire and armchairs. Choose one of the rooms with a fireplace and you get instant gas flame fire in your pretty and comfortable room. The sister hotel next door has a well set up computer and printer you can use. I stayed there on my own for a business trip, and would love to return with my husband.

We spent one night at the Petite Auberge, which was wonderful. It was a nice resting place after a whirlwind tour of he city. It was also a great location for walking the city and convenient to transportation. It may be better not to bring a car.

Very cute and cozy boutique hotel. Great location - walking distance to FD, China town, Union. Customer service amazing - very accommodating: they allowed me to check in much earlier, they have complimentary breakfast, wine and appetizers. I felt like at home!

I booked this hotel based on the reviews it had gotten from others, and I am so glad that I did. It was a friendly, exceptionally clean and comfortable hotel with the added perks of free all day coffee, tea and cookies, and well as a happy hour with snacks and wine. It is in a great location within walking distance to the cable car lines and Union Square. The room was charming, spacious for a boutique hotel and had one of the most comfortable beds I have slept in while on a trip. I would definitely recommend it and we will absolutely be back!

This is just the most wonderful B&B/guesthouse - loved every minute of our 3 night stay. F on the fabulous breakfasts to the evening canapés & wine, and everything in between. The service was quietly efficient, friendly and unobtrusive - but immaculate. It's so great to spend time in a lovely older building but with all the creature comforts we now expect. Petite Auberge - you do it just right!

It's located just a couple of blocks from Union Square and very accessible to the cable car routes.

Only one thing to note: the reception desk that is manned (& therefore where the phones are answered) is next door in a jointly owned accommodation house called The White Swan. This was a small issue for us when family from Australia was trying to contact us urgently - so if you need to give a landline to family of friends, make sure you get the right one.
