went for lunch on a Monday, a lot of places were closed but we found a little "cafe la mediterranée" where the food was really good, simple and not expensive. We sat outside in the sun and enjoy every minute of our meal.

We stayed at the Kimpton Buchanan hotel on Sutter Street and walked along Fillmore Street every day. We found several excellent choices for breakfasts and dinners as well as some interesting shops. Plus, the street is a little steep, so we got some exercise as well. If you are close to the area, we suggest you take time to walk on Fillmore Street.

Such an eclectic and fun street it is! A wealth of young, emerging designers from Europe, especially from London and Paris being represented only here! Glad to see a bookstore still of existence on this street! In between shopping, a coffee, an ice cream, or a bite of this or that we'll take on! Yes, I do leave a piece of my heart in Fillmore Street with every visit to San Francisco! Happy Travels Y'all!

From Pacific Heights to the Fillmore District, this shopping street provides a lot of variety. Lots of good places to eat. Some clubs. Mixed results from the urban renewal days. Ends up in Japantown with terrific restaurants.
