I'm a sucker for great Trappist ales, and La Trappe delivers! An authentic Belgian experience, complete with mussels and fries. The dessert waffle was delicious!

Wow, this is a beer library with very old, hard to find beers. They have quite a menu so this is for the very sophisticated beer drinker. The restaurant is nice with down and upstairs area. Worth a look while in North Beach area.

Cool place with great European cafe
Style and a beer list that rivals
Anyplace. Friendly staff with a cool vibe.
The music playing was also excellent. We kept it simple, beer, oysters and mussels in the traditional white wine and garlic and we were very pleased. Great place to hang out and enjoy

We ate there three times in 2-weeks. Must sit downstairs. Murray selection of beers, and the food was amazing. Try the mussels.

I came here on a rainy night with two friends. The restaurant is actually downstairs underground, so if you like windows, this is not the place for you. They have a nice varied beer selection and a simple menu. The brussell sprouts were soggy and covered in a dressing that was blah, I'd be surprised if anyone liked these. The hamburger was great and the fries were average. The fries come with 2 dipping sauces and we had the peanut and the mayo. Both were bland and seemed to be made for a very delicate palate as they were lacking in flavor. However, if you just want a beer this place is fine.
