I know this is a Sheraton, but it doesn't feel much like one. The property is definitely lower end. The staff is friendly and my room was adequate. The bathroom was very tiny and I couldn't close the door to the shower/toilet without squeezing into the corner. The mattress was comfortable but the pillows had no stuffing. The insulation must be poor because I could hear the guests in the room above me walking around. If felt like the ceiling was heaving with each step they took. The little things also bothered me - the shower curtain was so long that it spread across the tub floor bathed in the dirty water. I doubt it is changed between guests and that is a yucky thought. There is also not much attention paid to the property. It was freezing cold on my floor because someone had wedged the outside door open. I assumed it was for workers so didn't close it. When it still hadn't been closed by 7:00 PM I did it myself. The windows on the hallways are poor and also don't close letting in a constant stream of freezing air.

I am a Gold member and I get the "privilege" of using the lounge. That is a huge joke to call a tiny, windowless room with tables squeezed in a lounge. There is free water and nuts but virtually nothing else. They have a coffee dispenser but by afternoon most of the selections were empty and there was no one to be found to help. The computer didn't work. The breakfast was also a joke. Awful bagels and yogurt and nothing else.

The price is high compared with the state of the property and I would not stay here. If you want to be near the wharf there are better properties.

Unfortunately we did not have a good experience on arrival. We booked 2 rooms for our family of 5 and arrived from a very long flight quite early. We requested early check in for at least one room and cancelled our request for rooms nearby each other to help free up any room earlier. Jim at front desk was rude and not at all accommodating. In fact it seemed he was going out of his way to make sure we couldn’t check in until 3pm. We wandered down to Pier 39 etc and after several hours of waiting we overheard other families being offered rooms from another staff member. When I lined up and spoke to her she arranged both rooms immediately and was lovely. We were just so disappointed the way Jim had treated us. It was unnecessary and unprofessional and not a good start for our family holiday. Moving on from that the Sheraton is in a good location with lots to do nearby. The concierge was helpful throughout our stay and the rooms were comfortable and clean. But we won’t be back.

Stayed in a Loft room for 6 nights. The room was clean and tidy with everything that you need. Only issue is no bar fridge but we really did not miss it. View was very limited and the room was reasonably quiet. Great location being only a block from the Wharf. Cable cars are also within walking distance. Walked easily to everything the area had to offer. Would definitely return.

Room Tip: Loft rooms are top level but you still hear road noise.

The hotel was clean, entire hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and beds were comfortable, bathroom was pretty tiny. It's close to the piers, lots of things to see, do and eat all withing walking distance. The gym was nice and had a lot in it for a hotel gym. Keeping a car on the premises was a little expensive, but there a lot of forms of transportation nearby that can get you anywhere in the city so you don't really need a car. Would definitely stay here again!

Not only is the Sheraton in the best location with an easy walk to all the cool stuff, but the SPG service is awesome.

Free WiFi, room with a balcony and a late check out. Absolutely superb.

The rooms are great - large, comfortable and well appointed.
