We stayed here with our kids. The hotel
Is honestly very cute and nicely redone. The biggest problem we had was the room was not super clean. The toilet did not look like it had been cleaned, there was hair in the bathroom upon arrival (not ours) and there was makeup on the pillowcase and make up on the washcloths (again, not ours). I'm not super picky, but a clean room is a must. For a no frills hotel, this is a good place to stay, but they need to rectify the cleaning situation before I would stay here again.

I had mixed feelings about our stay so will lay out what I see as the pros and cons of staying at this property.

Pros: Beds were super comfortable, shower had lots of hot water and an upscale shower head, easy access to the interstate & a quick drive to downtown, price is right, very friendly staff, clean, decent options for free breakfast, sufficient electrical outlets at the desk and nightstand, and they have done a nice job of creating a courtyard area.

Cons: Imagine an old Motel 6 that has been remodeled, only one electrical outlet by the bathroom sink, 2 hangers for the entire room and no other hangers available on the premises, no stand to hold a suitcase, small bathroom, bathroom fan is not adequate and as a result, there was mold on the bathroom ceiling, and a large section of paint had peeled off the bathroom door.

An updated vintage motel on the Tunnel Road about 10 minutes from the heart of downtown. We had the premier king room. It was so nicely done with fridge, microwave, and a super comfy king bed. The couch and coffee table made it like a mini-suite. We loved the decor. Plus, the continental breakfast was delish. We highly recommend the Beaucatcher!

Just a little over a mile to get to downtown Asheville, easy walking distance (the tunnel is a little loud) or short uber ride.
What a great place; the price, free parking, breakfast and their recent renovations... Very clean room with fresh paint, granite counter top, comfortable mattress, modern bed linens, modern carpet & tile. Building makes a center courtyard with a gas fireplace, arbors w/lights, outdoor furniture and flower gardens in front of lower units. We had nice comfortable king-bedded, quiet room.
All the fast food restaurants ,chain restaurants, grocery and shopping just steps away. Staff was helpful and friendly. I recommend The Beaucatcher and plan to return myself. Thanks for a nice two night stay.

The hotel is "OK." You can tell it has gone under some renovation with quite a bit left to go. I am particular about bathrooms and the room I stayed in had cracked paint and the tub had stained markings. I stayed since it was only one night but its not on my most favorite list. The bedroom was clean as well as the bed sheets, etc, but the covering to the mattress was stained. The hotel location is ideal - really close to town but not a safe walking distance.
