Bostonians seriously know how to do history. Not surprising! But this was a great little tour of an interesting building with some serious historical weight behind it. My kids and I all really enjoyed it.

I will say I teach American History, so everything American History I tend to love. The Old State House was beautiful at night. The day time due to the hustle and bustle of cars it almost gets lost. However, at night well worth seeing!! The night life is also fun but bring walking shoes, a light jacket and pants. The nights are much cooler. Also, if you are from Texas were parking is generally free or pretty cheap be prepared to park at one location and walk because parking costs a butt load.

A key spot on the Freedom trail as the statehourse overlooks the "site" of the Boston Massacre and this is where the Declaration of Independence was first read to bostonians. The internal tours are excellent and the gift shop is one of the best for small items and slightly less expensive than many others. Close to the State stop on the T it is very easy to get to.

Was a quiet day so had a personal tour talking about Boston Massacre and the building itself. Two ladies who gave the tour were both very knowledgeable and passionate about the history.

The gift shop has almost everything and you can get tons of souvenirs here for cheaper than most places. I recommend the tour. If you are lucky and it's timed right, you can get 2 or 3 tours for the price of 1. I love that the people that work here have so much knowledge of the events of that era. This is a must stop for any history buff as well as children.
