The parking, welcome and service here is very good. I like the moody lighting.
The 2 cocktails I tried, both had the oddest flavours. Hopefully they have gone by the time you dine there. Perhaps stick to beer or wine.
The menu is short but seasonal and interesting. It's not a place I'd recommend for kids or families - it seems more of an adult venue. We did enjoy it though.
Just one word of warning. If you are a group of 3 or 4 don't be tempted to sit in the cozy looking booths. They're drafty and cold in winter, especially when the front door is opened.

After a hectic day we opted to go out for a late dinner. DBar offered parking so we gave it a try. One word description = excellent. We had a fig & peach appetizer. It was unique & delicious. My husband had the house burger. It was cooked perfectly and served with very tasty shoestring fries. I had The Family Jewels from the small bites menu. It was scrumptious. Definitely will be back.

It was a recent Saturday night and friends decided to gather spontaneously. Two of us engaged in a search on Open Table to find a place. We zeroed in on the Dbar and were able to make a reservation. It was a warm night and we opted to eat outside. Though next to the parking lot, the warm night, the lights, the delightful and engaging service and the aromatic and tasty meals that we shared made for the perfect evening. Whether visiting Boston or an old-timer, don't hesitate to enjoy the food, ambiance and your friends. Visit Dbar.

I've been going to dbar regularly since it opened 12 years ago. This is everything a neighborhood bar/restaurant should be: comfortable, inviting, upbeat. Charming patio in season. Friendly staff. Most importantly: consistently awesome food. The menu is sophisticated without being pretentious. Always fresh ingredients prepared to perfection. Highlights: chicken under a brick, burger, Portuguese cod, gnocchi, lamb, bolognese, many more.

After dinner, dbar turns into a great nightlife scene, mostly on Tuesdays (show tunes) and weekends. Predominantly gay scene but diverse with straight allies, white and people of color, broad age range. You can't go wrong at dbar.

We've eaten here many times. Staff is always friendly and accommodating. The food is consistently top notch. The chicken under a brick is always cooked to perfection. I wish they'd bring back the scallops over risotto. It was fabulous. It's our go-to for a guaranteed great meal.
