Don’t be fooled by the name or the location. And don’t bother with the pizza. Order one of the individually prepared pasta dishes and you will be amazed by the quality and price.

We visited this restaurant because it had been featured on " Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives". We were a group of 9, and ordered a variety of entrees - pizza, meatballs, Caesar salad, fettuccini alfredo, and cheesy garlic bread. Generous portions that could easily be shared! All food was very good!

My wife and I had a great meal here last week. You know a place is good when the locals eat there and lots came in for take out while we were there. The place is a storefront in a east Boston neighborhood and you can eat in or outside. They have large portions and it's downright great stuff! We topped it off with a canolli and piece limoncello cake. Way good. There was enough leftover food for lunch the next day before we flew home. Highly recommend for authentic Italian food.

Really good pizza we shared. Cannot comprehend how one could eat such a big pizza by himself. We had an eggplant pizza. Each bite was appreciated, crust included. We really enjoyed our time there and by the time we left the little place was almost full. We saw a lot of people come to pick their order. We also appreciated the non touristic neighborhood.

The Italian Express Pizzeria is in a residential area. I think most of the clientele when I was there had walked there. Parking is at a premium. But EVERYONE seemed to really enjoy their meal and NO ONE in the place was able to finish their meal. This is the first time I EVER was given such a large bowl of soup that I could not finish it. These are family recipes from the old country and every plate out of the kitchen look delicious. If I lived in Boston, I would be a regular customer.
