We have eaten at Bravo before, and it has sometimes been a little hit or miss. But this time, everything we ordered was a hit. We started out with a delicious and beautifully presented beet appetizer, and moved on to the entrees - seared breast of duck and scallops, both very tender and tasty. Portions are small but filling. The chocolate mousse was also very good, and we had a nice bottle of Spanish albarino. The atmosphere is quietly tasteful but not too formal. Pricey.

We took lunch here as the queues for the courtyard restaurant were so long.
Initially we were impressed with the setting and ambience, but were rather disappointed with the fare on offer. My starter - baby beets with basil pannacotta (tiny & hard) was tasteless and dry, seeming to have no dressing & being overwhelmed by the dry granola it sat on.
The main courses were perfectly acceptable, but not exceptionally memorable considering the price.
Our waitress was very sweet, but seemed to be the butt of some barely concealed unpleasantness from other waitresses.
Not the best experience!

We wanted to take our grown up girls to dine on the terrace, we were informed it was closed. We dined in the lovely space, very comfortable. The menu is limited, the portions are very small, well presented and on the expensive side. Service is slow and the venue was not crowded.

After we finished our luncheon, I asked if we go step out on the terrace to see the view, we were told it was locked and no one offered to unlock the door to allow us to see the view, it was not raining. For us the expense is worth the view but this was denied.

We should have just gone to the courtyard of a quick lunch and spent more time in the exhibits.

We had brunch- 1 salmon and 2 steaks.
The atmosphere and presentation of the food was lovely.
Service was exceptional for the first 20 minutes, then average but okay.
Caesar salad was delicious and the white anchovies were interesting and good.
One of us ordered dessert, a coconut chocolate mousse cake, which was delicious.

Secure inside the MFA the fine dining restaurant Bravo continues to provide outstanding food with excellent service in a very pleasant decor. For those more accustomed to loud restaurant experiences, Bravo is the complete opposite - sedate, sophisticated but very approachable food excellently prepared. Baby beets salad and lamb chops were fabulous. The kitchen will adjust the menu item to accommodate most requests - food allergies, low salt, etal. Desserts prepared in house so save some room.
