If you're lucky you'll be treated to some chef prepared appetizers by one of San Diego's best chefs. It's a secret though so its a hit or miss if you get lucky.

Place has been there for over 50 years, and is a must stop by on Wednesdays for Farmers market... A good drink at a fair price, a great place for people watching...

Walked in from the sunny street Newport and was blinded by the dark! The air was warmer inside than out as the conditioning seems to be o naturale - at least in the spring I guess.

Once you can see it is a comfortable dive bar. Plush booths. 17 seats at the bar and no 2 together when we first came in so we plopped in the booth.

Can overhear the chatter of locals and some are obviously businessmen - talking local politics. Always a good sign when the locals are there. Likely a hoot at night.

Cash only - there is an ATM by the front door.

Stop in for a round!

nice looking bar, complete idiot American on the door. Came here in august 2011 and a complete moron in a baseball cap and shorts who looked like he should be digging a road would not allow my Italian friend and I in because we only had our passports and no driving licence. However, he proceeded to allow his buddies in without any identification whatsoever
