Although we have not been for many years, we thoroughly enjoyed our meals here. The food was very good and the service was too. In fact, even though this is a sit down restaurant, the service is quicker than some of the fast food places in town.
I highly recommend eating here. You won’t be disappointed.

Eating at the "No Whiner Diner" is a lot like eating at Grandma's house. Great sandwiches and home made soups, with fresh salads and plenty of fries and slaw. Their food is as pleasing to behold as it is to eat. They also offer 1/2 a sandwich and smaller bowl of soup. Which is just right for a working lunch. Of course you can get dinner entrees. Big enough to overflow your plate with the left overs just begging to be put in a doggie bag. I definitely recommend the " No Whiner Diner" as one of your destinations next time you are in Carlsbad.

This is a good diner to eat at if you just want a sandwich or some homemade soup or if your hungry meatloaf, shrimp chicken Alfredo and lots of other menu choices are available and all good eats. The owner and the staff are friendly

Not the best Diner we ever ate at. Cute name though! We opted for Pastrami and Turkey melts, which were OK. The soup was barely warm, and pretty bland to boot. The prices are OK, and we generally prefer to go to diners instead of the chains, but I don’t think Guy from the Food Network will be rushing to this one anytime soon.
