No it's not a 5 STAR restaurant, but for quick little bites it has a cute, young romantic environment. Perfect for a spontaneous date lunch with someone you've been with for a while. Wouldn't take someone on a first date if I had a little extra cash, but maybe for college kids. Still, food was good, servers were awesome, and location is quaint.

Not charming or welcoming. A dessert and coffee place where the server resented serving. Maybe he should take the sock off his head so he can hear people asking for service...we had coffees and desserts that were passable but c'mon, guys, you are in NYC. As a New Yorker I was ashamed.

We happened upon the cafe by chance, just strolling around the village. The ambience was great, and the coffee and pastries were divine. A great place to just relax and people watch.

Cafe Angelique has become one of my favorite Breakfast Cafes. The Coffee is excellent (Lavazza Beans) The Breakfast Omelet is delicious and the topping of that order is the fresh salad dressed in a wonderful vinaigrette and the beautifully delicious blueberry jam hidden underneath the toast served. With all this and their generously served freshly squeezed orange juice I'm ready to walk the city from one end to the other.
The staff is attentive and the atmosphere is comfortable and in a french style. Their sweet treats vary from cup cakes to french pastries and bagel sticks and cakes, haven't been able to try all of them, but all look delicious.
I must add the portions are also normal, not so huge like in some places when going for a breakfast in the USA. That is also one thing I love about this place.
Always a treat <3

Loved this café particularly the interior which is 'shabby chic'.

Our server was very friendly and helpful.

Prices on the higher side for a sandwich shop but within what we came across generally in the West Village.

Would go again if I was back in New York.
