“Wonderful venue”
Reviewed 14 March 2012

The Met is a wonderful venue, my husband and I saw our first opera here recently and were impressed with the setting and production. The building looks amazing lit up at night and has a great atmosphere in inside. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend a evening out here.

I try to get to the Met Opera at least once a season. The performances are stunning.

“None better”
Reviewed 13 March 2012

Just saw Don Giovanni the other night with Bryn Terfel and James Morris and more!
The acoustics of the place are amazing. Even from up high, every note from both the orchestra and singers came through crystal clear.
What's amazing about the Met is that it is the perfect combination of a the decorum of traditional cultural institution with a certain unpretentious, very accessible atmosphere.

“Wonderful Opera but Please Start Earlier”
Reviewed 11 March 2012

If you like opera then this is one of the world's opera houses venue that is a must. Located in Lincoln Center, it is relatively easy to get tickets via the website provided that it is far enough in advance. Seats are comfortable and subtitiles are provided in the back of the seat in front.

One niggling point is that the timetable is not helpful. We went to see an opera that did not end until 11.50 pm!! It would have been simpler to start an hour earlier, i.e. 6.30pm rather than 7.30pm. If the ROH can adjust so should the Met
