Description: In the heart of Havana is the ice cream parlor Coppelia, which over the years has become a key gathering spot for locals and tourists. Inspired by its magnetic appeal, Cuban-born partner Beatriz de Armas who cherished her childhood memories of many family visits to the popular destination set out to capture the same spirit to share it with New Yorkers and provide a cozy, all-day-all-night gathering place for family and friends. Together with partners chef Julian Medina, and Louis Skibar, they created NYCʼs own Coppelia; a Latin diner with a Cuban essence in the heart of Manhattanʼs iconic neighborhoods. Coppelia is the quintessential place to gather, discover and enjoy the great latin food fusion by chef Medina; along with homemade ice creams, milkshakes and selectable desserts that immerse guests in its unique atmosphere, evoking a Havana hideaway. Since its opening in 2011, Coppeliaʼs neon sign glows through the night always welcoming the morning. Coppelia my 24/7 friend!

Had a really nice brunch with the family. We arrived at 11 am where it was very busy, but in a really cozy way. The food was really good. Not big vulgar portions like your typical diner, but everything seemed fresh of high quality and really tasty.

Mrs B and myself visited this charming Italian restaurant last night. On our visits to New York we usually dine here at least twice during our stay as the food and service are usually excellent. Sadly no more , the staff were surly and made no attempt at any conversation, we did not recognise any of the staff this time and after ten minutes we were asked to move tables as a larger party were expected. Harrumph!! Not happy, only stayed for starters and this is the ONLY time I have not left a tip anywhere in the USA, an unwelcome first. Speaking to the owner of a local bar afterwards he did confirm that he had heard from others that standards were slipping . This is a shame as we have had many pleasant times here in the past. I doubt we will return .

The food tasted terrible, and service was so slow. I would avoid this place as much as possible. There are so many better options in the neighborhood.

On a recent trip to the city and we were craving some Ropa Viaje like what we’d had in Cuba on a previous holiday and thought that other than in Miami, NY should match up to what we ate on the island, an we were right....it was delicious.

The venue has a diner-like feel to it with Latin Cuban music on in the background. We ate soups, tacos wìth fish and Ropa vieja. All tasty and served by a super handsome guy! Not badly priced either.

Had breakfast. The staff was very friendly but obviously overwhelmed due to a lack of staff. The food was outstanding prepared with quality ingredients and care. Very good latino selection. Very tasty. My only camplaint is cost being a bit high for value but it is Manhattan.
