This is always interesting. You might love it or might despise it. Always some characters but felt very safe even at night.

Having reserved a time and ticket online, we still waited 90 minutes to get in to the museum. The waiting lines were crammed, communication nonexistent. Only three of the ticket booths were open (out of six). It is irresponsible of this museum to sell timed tickets they cannot honor.

We booked tickets to the museum on the morning of our visit. On arrival we had to queue to show our Covid pass proof of vacation and ID. Once we entered the museum we then skipped the very long queues of those waiting for tickets. We just needed to show our downloaded ticket bar code to enter.
We went to the restaurant for lunch, the food was not that great, not hot or very fresh, and very expensive. Both the two smaller café s we’re closed.
We started on the lower floors and worked our way to the top floor.
We had booked planetarium tickets, this event was amazing and worth the additional few dollars extra. The show was about 25 mins long.
The museum is huge every floor you visit is exciting and informative, there is so much to see.
The diamonds on display were fabulous.
We were there for over 4 hours and enjoyed our day.
I’d recommend this museum for a visit when in New York.
