We were visiting for the open mic comedy, as our friend was performing. This is held in two parts, downstairs in a small but cozy setting with a few tables and benches along the brick walls. About 20 would be funny peeps took the stage for 4 minutes each. Some funny, some painful, but all good.
They run two sets, one at 6:30 and another at 8:30.
Free entertainment is great. Just plan on sticking around for the whole set so as to not insult the performers.
You can order food & drink upstairs and bring down. Alert - wine bottles are 1/2 price until 7pm! A terrific beer selection also is available, with lots of authentic Polish and regional choices.
We decided to stick and have dinner after the show (reservations highly recommended, as only 30 or so seats) - and so glad we did!
Our party of six, each with a beer or glass of vino, rang up a tab of just $142. We gobbled up three different pierogis, steak quesadillas, Zapiekanka (crusty bread smothered in cheese, shrooms, onion and sausage), garlic fries, kielbasa, and a couple of avocado salads with sliced organic chicken. A Polish food fest at such a reasonable price!
Our server was attentive and personable, taking great care of our party despite his workload as the only server in the dining room
Would love to come back and try some of the authentic drinks and beers.
