Once upon a time, Manhattan's Upper Westside was one of the more affordable parts of the island. The apartments were large and not too expensive, and there were vegetarian restaurants and so forth, and a family could afford to live there.

Now, like pretty much all of the island, this neighborhood is expensive and the few families that remain from earlier decades are getting priced out of everything. This restaurant is a good example of the downside of recent developments. I like their food, but can only afford to eat there every so often (read, maybe once a year).

For the upscale folks who live in the hood now, I would bet this is a staple for them. Since as I said, the food is good. Just a little too pricey to be a regular stop for me.

We had a raw passion smoothie, a red thai curry and a non-chicken pasta dish. Everything was very tasty and the staff attentive and polite. We loved everything and the café was both lovely, and quirky. It was vegan food that is good even for "meateaters", who are sceptical towards the idea of not eating meat. We recommend this place!

Sounds like a phrase, but "I can't believe it's vegan" is exactly it. Everything has full and rich taste and apparently is healthier. So whatever your ideology is, this is good food. Good juices. Traces of attitude in servers that comes probably naturally with the ideology. Anyway, whether you are a hardcore veg or just an occasional tourist into vegetarian/vegan eating, you can't go wrong. You have to try the chickpea fries with the sauce that comes with them.

The food here is very good. So nice to have restaurants where you don't have search for the few vegan options they have. Soup was good, salad was good, & my vegan daughter loved the key lime pie. Our waitress was great. We will be back next time we're in NYC.

We loved the food here! Freshly prepared, healthy , nutritious and the staff were super helpful and friendly.
We had yogi bowls stuffed full of flavour - lots of sprouting veg and well marinaded veg. At 14.95 quite good value for such a big bowl. The hummus chips were very tasty but I’d say as a side 9.99 for the amount provided was a little expensive. The non alcoholic beer was excellent and priced the same as a bottle of water which seemed odd.
The place was busy and we had to wait 20 minutes for our meal after ordering which may be an issue for some but we were just glad to get a seat after walking miles and miles .
All in all an excellent vegan lunch that we throughly enjoyed.
We will definitely go back this week
