From check in to check out...the experience was sweet and special. Coffee was not delivered "hot" from room service, and that was my only complaint. The Library was a cozy spot to meet guests, and have a drink. The decor was inspiring, and the room was well designed, and comfortable...loved the view of Broadway and 28th Street. Was convenient to walk uptown, or down to Madison Square Park.

Room Tip: New York city noise...bring earplugs.

We usually stay in the 50's but decided to do something different and stay in chelsea. From arrival to departure the hotel was excellent. We had a quick lunch which was great but never got the chance to have dinner. Staff is friendly and there are plenty of them to go around. A very young staff but handled with maturity. The only problem we had was we were on a corner room on the 9th floor and you could here every noise, even the subway. Our friends stayed towards the back and said it was very quiet. The surrounding streets are not the best the city has to offer. A lot of wholesale perfume and junk. Would not recommend a nighttime walk around. You are right around the corner from Eatly and the flea markets so just a short walk and you are out of the grunge. All in all a very cool hotel, hopefully the neighborhood will catch up soon.

Room Tip: dont stay in corner room. even though really nice room very noisy

Fantastic rooms and ambience. Very romantic with fantastically comfortable beds. Location (whilst not salubrious) is perfect - mid point and close to sights, shopping and entertainment. Great bar with great cocktails. Staff were friendly, helpful and very efficient. Spotlessly clean with great care and quality taken with linen, towels and toiletries. Only small gripe is the very "in crowd" that frequent the bar - most evenings it was impossible to get a drink in the bar as it was at "capacity" - there is no benefit in being a resident!

Room Tip: The higher the better. Ask for a room at the end of the corridor for extra privacy.

Everything was good. Nothing was exceptional.

I like the location a lot. Some cheap clothing wholesalersnare onnthe direct block, but 2 blocks away is Madison Square park with fantastic food vendors, Eataly, Hill Country fried chicken (best pies around) and the shopping of 5th ave thatbpeople come to NYC for.

The room was a good size. We stayed in a slightly better room with a claw foot tub. The drain on the tub didn't work, huge downer. The toilet was in a separate room from everything else (shower and tub included). That was nice, but it was in a weird dark closer room and the door to getbin would stick. Comfortable bed, Argon shower/bath products, nice view.

The staff was very pleasant.

This is a great hotel in a great location. The rooms are on the smallish side but very comfortable. The service was friendly and efficient and overall our stay was nice. We had meetings downtown and uptown and it was easy to get to both from this location. It is also an easy walk to Union Sq. and to Times Sq. making it perfect for this trip. This is not the Four Seasons or as well placed as the Mercer but everything was very good to excellent. The bar is fun and very well designed. Overall we enjoyed our stay and will stay here again in the future.
